Funderland
Comedy Short Challenge

Sunderland is a thriving city of culture, art and history. This challenge asked you to create a comedy short film that has a positive connection to Sunderland - making a Funderland of possibilities! ;)

 

In collaboration with Sunderland Shorts Film Festival - the winning films screened at their Comedy Showcase + Stand-Up Night!

Challenge Rules

LENGTH OF FILM: 3 minutes or less (inclusive of credits)

DATES: August 6th - October 6th, 2023 (submit before midnight of the 6th)

​

FUNDERLAND FILM REQUIREMENTS:​

  • Your film must have a connection to Sunderland in some way​​

  • Your film must be a comedy short

    • We're all for football rivalries but please be respectful with your film, if you're unsure if your comedy is ok, message us and we'll let you know! 

  • So that we know you made this film for the challenge you will need to take a BTS photos of you / team and show us you were filming during the challenge timeline

    • This could be with a phone with date on it, with a newspaper with date on it, etc. 

    • You can upload these BTS photos to our Members HUB

    • You can upload these BTS photos to social media but you must tag Newcastle Film Club and Sunderland Shorts Film Festival

  • Somewhere within your credit sequence please include the line 'Made as part of Newcastle Film Club 2023 Comedy Short Film Challenge'​
