For this challenge we want you to create an ad for a fake product. We give you the name of the product, but you decide what the product looks like, what it does, and ultimately why we would want to use the product!

Challenge Rules
LENGTH OF AD: 45 seconds or less (including credits)

DATES: October 6th - November 29th

FILM REQUIREMENTS:​

You must use the name of the product/service in your ad (see list above)

You can only choose one product/service per ad

You can create an ad for as many products/services as you'd like

You cannot submit multiple ads for the same product/service

Example: You cannot make 2 ads for Product 1 - Not Really a Pumpkin.

Choose your best idea to portray the name and go with that!​

So that we know you made this film for the challenge you will need to take a BTS photos of you / team and show us you were filming during the challenge timeline

This could be with a phone with date on it, with a newspaper with date on it, etc.

You can upload these BTS photos to our Members HUB

You can upload these BTS photos to social media but you must tag Newcastle Film Club

If you used AI to help in the creation of your product, you must disclose what AI programmes you used in your credits.

When submitting your film please identify if your content will need a Trigger Warning.

If we believe your ad will need a trigger warning, we will create a trigger warning slide that will need to be added to the front of your ad. This slide will not effect the time you have for your film.

DEADLINE: You must submit your music video via google drive or WeTransfer to NewcastleFilmClub@gmail.com by 23:59 on Friday, November 29th, 2024
SCREENING: Ads will be screened on Sunday, December 8th from 1-3pm at Borne Studios, event Details here.

Film Challenge Judging
Meet the judges for this challenge and connect with them online. The judges look at all of the submissions and give the films a rating based on certain criteria. Together, their scores are combined to determine the winners of each category.
