No. If you don’t have any experience in a role, that’s ok! We’re here to help you learn. Apply for an assistant position that interests you and tell us why you want to be in that role.

Yes. In the application you can choose your top 3 roles you would like to apply for.

Yes, you can apply to do the same role as last year however, we highly encourage you to apply for a different role and give other members the opportunity to try the role you have already done. You can choose to apply for up to 3 roles.

When reviewing applications, the NFC Leadership Team will reach out with any additional questions and let you know if you got a role before announcing the roles at a NFC meeting.

Yes, if you are based outside of Newcastle you can still submit an application and participate. NFC will pay for your travel to and from set during production days however, travel will cover from Newcastle (limited to a 7 mile radius) to the filming location. If you apply for a role and are based outside of the 7 mile radius of Newcastle, you need to be able to arrange transport for yourself to Newcastle at your own expense. No. It is not necessary that you attend a NFC General Meeting before you apply for a role but we highly encourage you to attend so you can see what we're all about and get to know your potential cast and crew members.

Yes. We will coordinate Production Meetings that will be held outside of our normal NFC General Meeting times. Depending on your role you may not be needed for every meeting but we will have mandatory meetings that you must attend before filming occurs.

When applying for a role, there is a section specific to your Availability. Please use that section to tell us what days you can make for filming. If you are unable to make any days, but would still like to participate, please come to NFC General Meetings as there will be opportunities throughout the year to help with the film.
