Meet Laura & Chris
Co-founders, Laura Daly and Chris Darby, met at Newcastle Film Club and after working on some of their own projects, realised they had unique insight into what independent filmmakers needed in order to collaborate on their projects.
So together, they made CinePlatform what it is today!
"CinePlatform was born out of frustration with existing production software that was either overly complex or missing critical features.
We saw filmmakers juggling disjointed spreadsheets, scattered documents, and multiple disconnected tools, struggling to keep their productions organised. We wanted a solution that combined script breakdowns, scheduling, call sheets, budgeting, and crew management in one intuitive platform.
By building a tool from the ground up with filmmakers in mind, we deliver a more efficient, feature-rich, and user-friendly alternative to traditional production management platforms, helping creative teams focus on what matters most, making great films."
Support for NFC Official Short Films
NFC is working with CinePlatform for all of our 2026 NFC Official Short Films. This is the first time we'll be using industry software to manage our productions and we're so excited!
