We’re looking for two women, or actors who identify as women, aged 40 and above to play Brenda and Dr. Lyell in an upcoming short film shooting in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Roles
Brenda
The character explores themes of loneliness and isolation, so the ability to portray nuanced, convincing emotions without a scene partner is essential.
Dr. Lyell
We’re looking for an actor who can deliver scientific terminology convincingly and naturally, making complex dialogue sound credible and engaging.
Who we’re looking for
-Women and actors who identify as women, aged 40 and above.
-Some acting experience is preferred, although not essential.
-For Dr. Lyell, the ability to deliver scientific jargon convincingly.
-For Brenda, the ability to convey emotion and sustain a performance without relying on interaction with another actor.
Filming dates
-12–13 December: Main filming dates.
-Brenda: An additional 1–2 days may be required on a Saturday or Sunday, to be confirmed.

Why this film?
Teeth is not a story about teeth, ghosts nor fossils. It is a message about the danger of loneliness, depression and social isolation that lingers in all of us that feeds the spiritual world.
Inspired by a true story
After reading a BBC News article about a women who found a fossil of teeth on her Boxing Day walk on Holy Island, Northumberland, Catarina was inspired to write 'Teeth'.
While the film is inspired by actual events and persons, all characters, incidents, locations, dialogue, and names are fictionalized for the purposes of dramatization.

Catarina De Cèzanne
Catarina César (or Catarina De Cezanne) was born in Moita, Portugal. She has been working in Europe, UK, the USA and Australia, and is known for her work as a Director, Screenwriter and also in the Production and Continuity Department, after starting her career as a production assistant for the TV series "Serramoura", season 5. She has a Master's Degree in Film & TV Executive Production and Management. (IMDb mini biography by: David Seuss)
