About the Event
Following 2026 Pitch Day, Newcastle Film Club is running a series of online script development workshops for the three selected films from the initial Pitch Day.
These workshops are a chance for members to get involved in the development process by offering feedback, ideas, and practical perspectives that can help each writer strengthen their script. The aim is to support these films in becoming both strong creative projects and realistic community films for the club to produce.
Sessions will be mediated by a member of the leadership team and may include discussion of story, structure, pacing, production constraints, and possible approaches to making the film work within NFC. We welcome members who are interested in contributing as collaborators, cast, or crew. We also warmly welcome writers who took part in Pitch Day but were not selected in the top three.
