Feature Short Scripts

Explore all of the scripts submitted for the Feature Short Film Challenge.

All films are being made by individuals with support by Newcastle Film Club. In order to get involved in a project and be considered for cast or crew, please reach out to the contact listed for that production to express your interest.

For any films you participate in, you will need to
register as cast or register as crew once you've been confirmed for a project. 

Please note, the filmmakers may have updated their scripts since being uploaded to the website. For the most up to date version of a script, contact the individual filmmaker.

Three internet trolls turned activists finds a way to reconnect before the world goes back online but their reality turns into a glitch-ridden nightmare of dehumanization.

Undue Influence

Influencer is working in a café after attempts to continue with live content are unsuccessful. She sees the switch on as her ticket to regain her life. But after conducting interviews She's unsure.

Lisa La Pleaser

Lisa is an Internet Influencer. Her Dad sells on eBay, so neither have an online income. Lisa has found a job on a fruit & veg. market, yet she can never get out of the habit of 'Influencing'.

Dumb Fantasy

A snarky narrator drags his friends through a chaotic tabletop RPG adventure where idiotic heroes face different funny situations, blurring the line between fantasy and reality. 

It's Back

by Claire S Barrow

Genre: Drama

The internet coming back spells out doom and despair for Ella, a child Youtuber with a ruthless "Momager".

Sold Out

Genre: Drama

Cinema worker Kate meets Sam, a stranger who claims he’s missed his bus and asks to wait inside. Kate realises their unlikely connection, like the temporary world around them, is about to end.

The Simulationist

Tristan, a technician of simulations, wakes up from a coma in a world where the internet has been shut down. He becomes paranoid that his reality might be the simulation he helped create. 

The Journal of a Neurotic

Andrew is determined to resurrect the internet before the Government switch it back on! In a race against time, Andrew works to put the final pieces of his device together with the help of others.
